CATWALK & JAMES SUPA: POP ERROR

ON VIEW NOVEMBER 18 - DECEMBER 12, 2021

AnArte Gallery presents “POP ERROR,” a pop-up exhibition featuring Catwalk and James Supa. Please join us for an opening reception on Thursday, November 18th, from 5 pm to 8 pm. We will have an Art Talk at 6:45 pm, music by DJ Catwalk, Champagne, and Vino.

I have expressed my art for most of my life through music. When life slowed down as I became a mother of two beautiful boys I turned to create through painting. It brought me so much peace and positivity through my pregnancies and the early years of both of their lives. Now I am an artist on multiple levels and it feeds my soul. I am a creator and creating brings me the ultimate fulfillment and happiness. I hope to spark others with that same energy through my artwork. When life throws you curveballs paint them and then throw some glitter on them! - Catwalk

My goal as a painter is to push boundaries and develop an independent style that blurs the line between analog and digital. My techniques include the use of acrylic, screen printing, and aerosol to combine pop culture with detailed imagery that produces my unique and signature style. As of 2020, I have focused on painting larger panels, moving from 38”x48” to 48”x60” and continuing to grow my panel size. Highly influenced by 80s nostalgia and the memories of my childhood, it’s easy to see these influences in my work. I use dark satire to narrate the themes of my paintings, providing insight for the viewer into my drive and motivation to create. -James Supa
