He is a frequent guest curator for Poets Artists magazine, and digitally-stored copies of nine of his paintings are scheduled to be launched to the surface of the Moon in 2022 and 2023. A finalist for the 2015 Hunting Art Prize, Best of Show in the Bold Brush painting competition in 2018, and listed in Buzzfeed’s “100 Figurative Oil Painters Working Right Now (2020)”, DaLuz is President of the Board of Directors for the Coppini Academy of Fine Art and he is represented by AnArte Gallery in San Antonio, Texas.

I strive to evoke a sense of mystery and spirituality in my work, whether the subject is inspired by a literal place, an imagined landscape, or the figure. While I share a similar sensibility with 19th-century luminism, I primarily focus on the sublime, and the expressive beauty of nature and humanity. -Steven DaLuz
