TAYLOR LANE
Based in San Antonio, Texas, Taylor Lane is a single mom leaning into art as a means of healing and sharing her story of trial, trauma, and triumph through creative expression. She studied sustainable rangeland ecology at Texas A&M University and has an extensive background in the art of dance. Taylor finds time to balance life as a new mom, working as a magazine editor, and healing through art. Taylor is a mixed media artist who favors acrylic, oil, and spray paint. She is inspired by Texan imagery and vibrant colors like the fiery pink and orange hues that light the sunset. Her painting style might be described as controlled chaos. With wild and striking elements conveyed as a balanced and intentional final piece, her art is representative of her story. Although her personal journey to the "final piece" is constantly evolving, the chaos and hardship of her past have pushed her to find the peaceful joy that is “blooming” today - in life and her art.
My body of work utilizes a range of mediums to produce visually stimulating images. I juxtapose themes of pain and rage with themes of growth and abundance. I seek to share the beauty that can bloom in times of darkness. - Taylor Lane
